The 2^nd Hong Kong Library Festival, held between October and November 2020 under the theme ‘Reading Quartet’, promotes reading from printed materials to cross-sector arts, multimedia, virtual technologies and arts activities through blending both online and offline platforms.

 

During the festival, various events featuring four sections: ‘Light and Shadow’, ‘Innovative World’, ‘Variety Show on Stage’ and ‘Living with Books’ were held in the Hong Kong Central Library, other public libraries and the thematic website.  Through these creative activities, readers could appreciate cross-displinary arts and literature pieces.  And more than 50 online programmes (such as musical performances, workshops, story theatre, etc.) were uploaded onto the festival website during the festival period, for enjoyment by the public.
