Tour Around 18 Districts

Dr Alan LAM has written a set of 18 picture books of children's stories set in 18 districts of Hong Kong respectively. Dr LAM is one of the awardees of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons in Hong Kong. In order to write this book, he visited each district and made a vigorous process: planning, finalising content, writing, revising, and adding childlike fun.  The author was dedicated to the project that he revised each story five times. Each story depicts the featured attractions of the district and connects them with local school life, allowing readers to reminisce about their days at school and encourage their engagement in reading.

The Stories allow readers to visit the 18 districts across Hong Kong and broaden their horizon.

Besides storytelling sessions, the interesting VR games can also let readers enjoy the fun of multimedia and visit the 18 districts.  This year we co-organise with the Advanced Design Studio of Hong Kong Design Institute and use the VR games on 18 districts which were designed by graduated students, readers can visit different scenes "in person" and enjoy the beautiful scenes of 18 districts.
